Adult.com Review at Smut Models

Today I found a site in my review calendar entitled Adult.com and since I haven't seen it before, I was anxious to find out what could be hiding behind such a nondescript URL. I was happy to see that it accepts the same credentials that I use to enter the Club Jenna network belonging to the queen of porn, Jenna Jameson, and since I have seen her websites before, I had a feeling that I was going to find some good stuff here as well.

As soon as I entered Adult.com I realized that this is one of those online mega DVD vaults which made real live DVD stores obsolete – why would anyone be going to an actual store and risk being seen by his peers while buying various kinky movies, when nowadays you can sit back in your computer chair at home and join a site such as Adult.com where you can get access to thousands of DVDs at the price of one month's membership. In the case of this collection, there are 1,692 DVDs presented in it at the time of this review. When you consider that the average number of scenes per disc is about 5 you get a final figure of just over 8,000 scenes in the entire vault. This is a hardcore mix with all the major categories such as blowjobs, anal and facials well represented, but to be completely honest – the collection feels a bit generic.

The content is mostly general hardcore and since it isn't exclusive, it doesn't offer anything that would set this collection apart from any other similar DVD database on the web. If there was more small niche content, it would be much better. The quality of the content is at the standard DVD mark – with a good bit rate of 2100 Kbps. Of course, the DVD resolution and this bit rate are nothing when compared to the full HD videos that you can see on the market these days, but you have to consider the fact that many of these DVDs were created even before HD was introduced. This is a collection of vintage porn after all.

The site is well covered when it comes to download formats – you have three sizes of Windows Media Video files, QuickTime movies and even the iPod suitable MP4 format. The site even has streaming in embedded Media Player which is not that common among DVD databases. I would have preferred Flash, but this time even the Media Player worked quite well, imagine that! It buffered quickly, and they solved the problem of not being able to click on the timeline by introducing custom clips that the users can create before watching the stream. This way you can select just the interesting parts from the offered screenshots, and enjoy them in the player. Search capabilities and design of the site are excellent and scenes are linked up by a system of tags which enable you to quickly find similar videos to the ones you like.
